The design is so simple! NO Bearings to grease, NO Seals to adjust (or leak). We don’t use rubber tires, v-belts ,roller casters or vibrators!
And the patented design includes the use of an infeed auger to bring the material into the rotary screen at the preferred rate for proper cleaning and separating.
In addition, the Sand Screw is optionally equipped with a heated jacket to prevent freezing. You don’t have to drain your sand screw every night as with competitive units!

Let’s face it...there are a lot of so-called ‘reclaimers’ on the market. Anything from simple dewatering screws, to full-bore, re-batch systems. All work, to one degree or another, but at what cost? Dewatering screws are generally inexpensive, but they are just that—dewatering screws. The concept is to wash the cement off the aggregates, and then auger the aggregates up to a stockpile. It delivers a commingled pile of rock and sand. OK as fill, but not useable in future batches of concrete. The goal of a Re-batch system is to collect the cement, and then “re-batch” it into future loads. The process can work. However most producers have a hard time justifying the up-front equipment and installation expense, let alone the monthly bill from the power company just to keep it all running (they must run 24/7/365!). Somewhere in between is the happy medium, a simple, cost-effective design that delivers clean, reusable rock and sand. The SNUBNOSE! |
